Girl Level Awards - Each girl has the opportunity to earn her Level Award. Below are the lists of required achievements for each level.

Tenderheart - Sacagawea Award

3rd year Tenderheart and at least 8 years of age.  This award is earned at the end of the program year. 

Earn at least one badge from each of the 6 frontiers at the Tenderheart Level.

Perform 5 hours of service each year of membership as a Tenderheart.

Attend one special event plus one for each additional year of membership as a Tenderheart ( 1 year of membership - 2 special events, 2 years of membership - 3 special events, 3 years of membership - 4 special events)

Make a poster, video, scrapbook or PowerPoint slide presentation shwoing what you enjoy most about American Heritage Girls.  Have it displayed for at least two weeks in a public place (i.e. your school, church, parents' work, community center, etc.).

Attend one Troop meeting and one other event or service project with an Explorer Sister Unit/group during your last year as a Tenderheart.

Participate in a Board of Review

 

Explorer - Lewis and Clark Award

3rd year Explorer and at least 11 years of age.  This award is earned at the end of the program year.

 

Earn at least one badge from each of the 6 frontiers at the Explorer Level.

 

Perform 10 hours of service each year of membership as a Explorer.

 

Attend one special event plus one for each additional year of membership as a Explorer ( 1 year of membership - 2 special events, 2 years of membership - 3 special events, 3 years of membership - 4 special events)

 

Attend one Troop meeting and one other event or service project with a Pioneer Sister Unit/group during your last year as a Explorer.

 

Participate in a Board of Review

 

Pioneer - Harriet Tubman Award

 

2nd year Pioneer and at least 13 years of age. This award is earned at the end of the program year.

 

Earn at least one badge from each of the 6 frontiers at the Explorer Level.

 

Perform 15 hours of service each year of membership as a Explorer.

 

Attend one special event plus one for each additional year of membership as a Explorer ( 1 year of membership - 2 special events, 2 years of membership - 3 special events, 3 years of membership - 4 special events)

 

Mentor a younger Unit or Troop - hold at least one regular meeting for that Unit or Troop.  Plan and organize a special event for that group.

 

Plan, organize, and implement a multi-Troop or community outreach activity (minimum of ten hours of participation).

 

Learn about the Patriot level from a Patriot Unit.  If a Patriot Unit is not in your area, learn about the activities of Patriots via the website or handbook.  Write your goals for your Patriot Unit.

 

Participate in a Board of Review

 

 

 

Patriot - Dolley Madison Award

 

2nd year Patriot and at least 15 years of age. This award is earned at the end of the program year.

 

Earn at least one badge from each of the 6 frontiers at the Explorer Level. A maximum of 4 of the badges may be from the required badges list for the Stars and Stripes Award.

 

Perform 20 hours of service each year of membership as a Explorer.  These hours cannot be used towards your Stars and Stripe Project.

 

Attend one special event plus one for each additional year of membership as a Explorer ( 1 year of membership - 2 special events, 2 years of membership - 3 special events, 3 years of membership - 4 special events)

 

Earn the Religious Recognition of y our Church Denomination: Marian or Spirit of God Medal, PRAY award or the AHG Spiritual Development Award.

 

Plan, organize, promote, and implement an activity, multi-Troop activity or community outreach event. Gain activity idea approval from your Unit Leader or Troop Coordinator before beginning.  Complete planning worksheet and write up a project description for your Unit Leader to review.  This project should not be less than 15 hours of participation and your Unit Leader must approve its satisfactory completion. 

 

Participate in an AHG recruitment effort with prospectie members:  a community, school or church group.  Share how the program has benefited your life.

 

Participate in a Board of Review.
